About
Golfzon Social opened a new Brooklyn location near the Jay Street–MetroTech subway station, and our team at CANVAS was tasked with producing a full station takeover to introduce the brand and communicate its proximity. Working as part of a small, hands-on group, I contributed to copywriting, layout, photo editing, and motion for both static and digital placements. The focus was on clear messaging, efficient production, and adapting creative assets to the environment they lived in.
Digital Units
I designed the layout, retouched imagery, and animated digital placements with cycling photography and subtle parallax motion to support the broader campaign system.
Crisis Averted
Late in the process we learned subway advertising could not feature alcoholic beverages, requiring us to revise a large portion of the photography. Using generative tools in Photoshop, I replaced the drinks across the campaign, allowing us to maintain the concept and meet production deadlines without a reshoot.
Static Units / Copy Strategy
I supported layout and production for the static placements, preparing imagery for print, inserting replacement photography for screens and framed art, removing branded elements, and adjusting liquid details to meet advertising requirements. I also contributed to headline development and worked with the team to plan messaging throughout the station, tailoring copy to specific entrances, exits, and commuter flow while creating opportunities for sequential reads and location-based cues.
